SIN CITY: Pilot Episode:
Oh Sister: Paige Martin is on her way up as assistant hotel manager after
a disaster in Chicago. Why then does her baby sister, Nicole, the eternal
screw up, have to show up on her doorstep wanting her piece of the Vegas
pie? Nicole Martin has run away to Vegas to make her dreams of becoming
a famous dancer come true. How was she going to do that? She didn’t
need to be bothered with that right now. She was out of her parent’s
controlling grasp and in Sin City. She just wanted to have fun for now.
Misunderstandings: Tamara has one of the biggest events of the year to
plan. It’s a welcomed distraction from her heart, which is begging
her to make a move on her good friend Alex. He is everything she has ever
wanted a man to be. Her hard life has taught her that love is a mistake,
but could she risk it with Alex? How can Alex notice Tamara when he’s
busy fighting off the wife of the hotel’s manager. Personal training
is a cover up. What she really wants is a piece of the hot instructor.
How can he fight her and keep his job, which he desperately needs. And
although he brags about sleeping with every woman in town, the truth is
he doesn’t sleep with any of them. And he has no intention of sleeping
with this one. Killer Secrets: Field Winningham isn’t anyone’s
favorite person. He doesn’t really care. He has a fat trust fund
and is living his dream. They are all jealous anyway. And then there’s
the coke. It was just to help him get by, to help him stay alert for the
lifestyle demands of a professional gambler. A.J. is no stranger to drugs.
He had friends of his die from it. He sees the signs and hears the rumors.
But Field won’t let him help him. Is his only choice left to tell
on him, hoping that serious trouble will finally get him to turn around?
MR. MONK & THE TV GUY:
The obsssesive compulsive detective, Adrian Monk and his spunky nurse,
Sharona investigate the murder of Miguel Stonesifer, an expose freelance
journalist who makes a living destroying the lives of famous people by
exposing their past deeds or most hidden secrets. When Miguel turns up
dead, his body paraded in front of a Congressman’s office, a congressman
whose affair he recently exposed, the city of San Francisco is in uproar.
Pressure from the congressman who is barely holding on by a string to
the police department doesn’t give Monk a lot of time to figure
out the truth. There is a long list of suspects, but Monk rules them out
one by one. The congressman has an alibi. The Martha Stewart wannabe made
a deal with Miguel that would guarantee he would not expose her. Who was
left? Miguel was currently working on exposing a famous San Francisco
restaurant for health code violations when he was murdered. The police
department focuses its efforts on the restaurant owner, but Monk is interested
in the owner of the coffee shop next door to the restaurant who had a
run in with Miguel while taping video of the restaurant. Why is he so
camera shy? Monk finds out the truth and gets his man. Again.
DANGEROUS MEMORIES:
Set in steamy Miami, a woman temporarily named Jena Doe wakes up in a
hospital bed with amnesia. Emma Leyden, a wealthy and generous widow takes
her in and offers her motherly love. She reminds Emma of her daughter,
who committed suicide a year ago. Jena continues to have nightmares of
murder and she isn't sure who she is, what she's done or who is after
her, but she's certain someone is. Emma connects her with Miami's top
psychiatrist to help her regain her memory through the controversial method
of hypnotherapy. To make matters worse, Lucas Leyden, Emma's successful
son is certain that Jena is up to something, most likely after his mother's
fortune. He decides to have her investigated. Despite the fact that neither
trust the other, Lucas and Jena feel an incredible physical attraction
to each other. Jena becomes very involved in the community and efforts
around a memorial for Emma's dead daughter. She begins to form a new identity,
endearing herself to people who might not want anything to do with her
if they knew the truth. The truth turns out to be worse than anyone could
have imagined. Before they can complete the puzzle, her past catches up
with her and tries to silence her for good. The novel was released in
Nov 2002.
SAVING GRACE:
Set in New York, Grace Bowers has a complicated relationship with her
father, Darryl. And now that he is going to retire, Grace fears he won’t
hand over Catherine's their Harlem restaurant to her. When Grace finds
out from her dying mother that Darryl was a victim of cruel discrimination
by a company thirty years ago, a company that is now embroiled in a discrimination
lawsuit, she sees this as an opportunity to get in her father's good graces.
She devises a plot to get access to Band-Fletcher's files and use them
to destroy the company's reputation and taint the trial. She uses blackmail
to enlist the help of Keith Hart, one of the East Coast's most powerful
lawyers, who happens to be lead counsel representing Band-Fletcher. Once
she gets an in with Keith, her plans begin. However, in investigating
the claims of a woman who died in a car accident after being fired from
Band-Fletcher, Grace stumbles upon information that not only implicates
Band-Fletcher of racism, but of environmental felonies and even murder.
In addition, spending time with Keith Hart, a man easy to hate, Grace
finds herself getting attached to him and his family. Soon, she falls
in love and doesn't know what to do. She plans a way to smooth it all
out, but Keith finds out the truth in the worst possible way. Grace has
to deal with a broken heart and being put on the top of the list of a
hitman. The novel will be released in August 2003.
ALL THEY HAD LEFT:
Lindsay Walker was born to Virginia society and wealth. She had all the
privledges a young woman could want. She lived this life to the fullest
until a brutal attack on her sister by the son of one of the wealthiest
families in the country showed her that her world was cold, callus and
cruel. Even her own parents turned on her, causing her sister to commit
suicide. Now, a famous DC investigative journalist for the Washington
Times, Lindsay makes a living exposing dirty deeds and criminals. She
has a chip on her shoulder for the elite and doesn't hide it.
Now, a serial killer is killing women in the DC area and carving an ancient
symbol into their chests. The women have nothing in common, stooping even
the best profilers. A debutante, a lawyer, a waitress. Different ages,
races, class, etc.
But the killer made a mistake. He made a phone call to Lindsay Walker,
hoping for her textbook publicity. As Lindsay joins the investigation,
she realizes that the link is one man from all of the women's past. He
is the son of the most powerful man in Virginia, who will do anything
to protect him. Investigating this case, and a rekindled affair with an
ex, Lindsay is pulled back into the world of high society she left behind,
bringing up pain and memories she'd hope to let go of. Her determination
grows with each murder and each phone call.
Only, nothing is as it seems in blue blood world or anywhere else. An
unexpected twist has Lindsay back tracking and second guessing herself
right into the killers hands.
