MY FAVORITE SITES

What are some of my favorite sites? Well, it depends on what you’re talking about? Most of the sites I like are related to writing, but I also have some social and entertainment sites. I love all types of sites because I’m on the internet constantly, but I’ll just list my main ones. Let’s see what they are:

WRITING SITES

Novel Advice - www.noveladvice.com
These articles are awesome. If you are a writer, or want to be, you have to check this site out.

Writers Digest - www.writersdigest.com
Also a must site for writers. Can have some useful information, especially the library for writers looking for condensed information on their genre.

Amazon.com - Every writer has to love Amazon. No choice here. This link should go directly to my page with all of my novels, but you never know. Otherwise, just got to   Amazon.com.

MSBET - www.bet.com
The home site for the line I write for. Can link you to my home page and my e-mail address. Not always updated quickly, but still good to read, especially to get info on the other great Arabesque authors.

Romance In Color - www.romanceincolor.com
Great site for readers of multi-cultural romance. You can get information on upcoming books, backgrounds on writers from different publishing houses and in-depth reviews.

Romantic Times - www.romantictimes.com
Bible for the romance industry. Great sites for reviews and ratings. Good separation of genres as well as general information for both writers and readers.

The Literary Times - www.tlt.com
Great site for romance readers and writers. Up to date information on the big authors as well as the up and coming ones. Tips for writing and contests as well.

ASSOCIATION SITES

Romance Writers of America - www.rwanational.org
Awesome site! I’m a member, of course. Can also lead you to local and specialty chapters.

Washington Romance Writers - www.wrwdc.com
An organization close to my heart. There are a group of great writers and future writers here that support each other very well.

Mystery Writers of America www.mysterywriters.org
Cool group with a lot of information. Not enough local chapters to that involved, but a good group for those interested in mystery.

Sisters In Crime www.sistersincrime.org
Group of female mystery/romantic suspense writers. Very active group, tied well into other writing groups. Very welcoming.

African American Mystery Writers - www.aamystery.com
Great site with info on authors that you may not know, or didn’t know they were AA. Great mainstream mystery/suspense books.

Kiss Of Death - www.rwamysterysuspense.org
A romantic suspense chapter of RWA. Great e-mail group. Tons of advice.

Sisters In Crime Outreach To Authors of Color - www.aamystery.com/outreaching.com
Group of AA sisters within SinC that support each other very well.

University of Illinois Alumni Association - http://www.uiaa.org/urbana/index.html
Nothing about writing, but UIUC rules!

INFORMATION SITES

These are news sites, but the amount of information is awesome. You can get some incredible story ideas and plot twists from just reading the news.

www.cnn.com    www.usatoday.com    www.abcnews.com    www.ap.org

www.washingtonpost.com    www.nytimes.com

PERSONAL/ENTERTAINMENT SITES

People Magazine - www.people.com
Come on, you know I had to. Everyone has to have an indulgence of some kind. The Dailies provide a nice break in the day.

The Onion - www.theonion.com
This site is hilarious. Be warned, its not that PG-Rated all the time, but if you like cynicism and sarcasm mixed with idiocy, check this site out.

Dilbert - www.dilbert.com
If you’ve read this cartoon, you know what I’m talking about. Nothing provides a better break in the day than a flip to the Dilbert site for the cartoon of the day.

If you know of any cool (and PG-Rated) sites that you think I’d like, based on what you’ve seen here, please send the link to me here at: ajw827@yahoo.com
