THE GUNSLINGER'S BRIDE features Brock, the youngest brother in the legendary Kincaid family. Seven years ago, after a deadly gunfight, Brock left Whitehorn, Montana and hasn't been heard from since. Now he's back, face to face with the family and the girl he left behind.
Abby has never forgiven Brock for her younger brother's death. Nor has she forgiven him for leaving her alone to face an angry father and a gossiping community. She has made a good life for herself. Although widowed, Abby has a son she adores, and everything is going smoothly until Brock's unexpected return.
Rumor has it that the legendary gunfighter, Jack Spade, is in Whitehorn, too, and even Abby has trouble figuring out who the famous gunslinger truly is. Is it Brock? Or a newly arrived man dressed in black? Only the real Jack Spade knows for sure, and he's not telling.
Abby's love for Brock has never died. The reawakened attraction confuses and humiliates her, and though she'd just as soon never see him again, there's something between them that can't be ignored or forgotten. . .and Brock won't let her forget.
If you've never read a Montana Mavericks before, it doesn't matter—each of the books in this new trilogy stands alone. If you've read the continuity series or either of the Big Sky anthologies, these new stories will transport you back to the early years in Whitehorn.
Writing THE GUNSLINGER'S BRIDE and coordinating the details with fellow authors and good friends, Deborah Hale and Carolyn Davidson, was a delight. Once you read my story, I know you'll be as eager as I am for those that follow.
The following two stories in this exciting trilogy are also available!

The Legend Lives On As Bold As Before!
Book #10 In The Montana Mavericks: Wed In Whitehorn Series
"A LIFE WITH YOU JUST ISN'T POSSIBLE."
Heather Johnson had never intended to return to Whitehorn, Montana. But
restoring an inherited ranch seemed the perfect way to pass the summer with her
three kids, The moment she hired carpenter Mitch Fielding, though, his
motherless twin daughters in tow, those short-term plans suddenly went awry.
Mitch was the first man in her life who truly seemed to notice her. And as his skillful hands restored the ranch and ignited a passion she'd never known, her fragile heart began to heal, as well. For once in Heather's life everything seemed magnificent.
And that scared her. Because the future she wanted--and the past she'd run from--were forever in Whitehorn.
MONTANA MAVERICKS: WED IN WHITEHORN
Stories that capture living and loving beneath the Big Sly, where legends live
on and love lasts forever.
HEATHER JOHNSON: She'd vowed never to return to Whitehorn. But her father's death and an inherited ranch prompted a temporary sojourn, three kids in tow, to sell her childhood home. Yet the anticipated "fix-up" was an overhaul that required carpenter Mitch Fielding's expert touch.
MITCH FIELDING: Mitch bargained with the beautiful single mom. He'd do repairs for reduced pay--if she babysat his twins. It was hard work raising his little girls, harder still, knowing he'd uprooted them to meet the mighty Kincaids, his secret father's family. Hardest of all was knowing Heather intended to leave, no matter how magnificent their life together could be.

THE MISSING LETTERS!
Many readers said they were confused about Kyle's whereabouts at the end of
ISABELLE. These letters, which were edited from the original manuscript, should
clear up the confusion.

Big Sky Brides made #2 on Waldenbooks series romance bestseller list, #91 on USA Today bestseller list and was tracked by NY Times!
I was excited about the Montana Mavericks: Big Sky Brides project from the very first planning stages--and delighted that Silhouette asked me to participate! Two contemporary and one historical novella make up the trio of tales in this delightful February anthology.
Coordinating the stories with Christine Rimmer and Jennifer Greene was purely icing on the cake for me! We made contact via e-mail and a few phone calls, deciding on the name and look of the Big Sky Ranch, the house and outbuildings and the surrounding area.
Quite a bit of research went into the preparation process. We needed to know about acreage, horse breeding, feed crops, terrain and a number of technical things, then shared information and helpful Internet sites.
Getting the overall mood and feel of the stories to blend was something that happened rather naturally as work progressed. Since Isabelle's letters to Kyle played a big part in the first two stories, yet didn't happen chronologically until the end of mine, I had to write them before I came to that place in my book in order to give the other authors some idea of the content and feel. I was tickled to pieces to see how effectively and creatively they used snippets of the letters in advancing their stories.
Isabelle feels a deep connection with the land and the house she has never been able to call home. When the opportunity arises for her to make her mark on the Big Sky Ranch, the man standing in her way is the man she quickly learns to love and respect. His resentment of whites is only the first obstacle she has to overcome.
The letters, a silver amulet and a makeshift wedding dress are the threads that tie the women together and explore the connection between generations. Isabelle, full of hope and expectations, can only imagine that one day her daughters and granddaughters will wear the dress she so lovingly designs for her own wedding.
The wedding dress thread exemplifies the early history of our country that I so love: those brave strong women of the westward movement who, with determination and love, forged their own destinies as well as those of future generations. A legacy of love and strength and belonging is passed down from generation to generation in this collection of novellas you won't want to miss!
