Christopher Logan, the lighthouse keeper at Gulls Point, Oregon, values his seclusion and has no room in his life for a child, not even a relative, and certainly not for a woman. Jenny Randal came to the lighthouse with his orphaned niece, Elise, expecting an understanding welcome. She quickly realized he resented their intrusion. However, when she learns they have been stranded there for a month, she becomes determined to break through Christopher's gruff exterior.
Jenny turns Christopher's quiet life upside down. He refused to be taken in with her forthright charm, and she wouldn't accept no four an answer. It isn't until Christopher allows Elise into his heart that he realizes his life wont be complete without Jenny.
