Author F.G.Currie has discovered most want-to-be writers make two statements: “I could write a book as good as that” or “Someday I’m going to sit down and write a novel.” She recalls having said the same thing.

In her case the result has been Lost and Found, an espionage-romance novel published early in 2006 by Vintage Romance Publishing. Set during and shortly after World War II. The novel recounts the love between a young female British Intelligence operative and an attaché to the U. S. Embassy in Paris, just before the Nazi occupation of that city.

Through an administrative oversight, they are led to believe each other is deceased. Through extraordinary good fortune, they are reunited when each is called upon to testify at the Nuremburg trials, enabling them to renew their love and find happiness together after five years of grief and despair. Their story then moves on to postwar life in the United States and the wartime events that shaped their separate lives.

A short course in writing presented by former Romance Writers of America President JoAnne Ferguson, then a resident of Massachusetts, sparked Ms. Currie’s interest in writing romance novels. One of JoAnne’s comments, that she simply followed her characters around and listened to what they had to say encouraged her to find some characters of her own and eavesdrop on them! Now a member of RWA, Currie still finds wisdom and inspiration from Joanne’s mini-course.

F.G.Currie worked in public relations, advertising and journalism. A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, NJ, she majored in English Literature.

She self-published a historical romance Loving Spirit with Authorhouse in 2004. Her heroine found a tattered old journal in the attic of her recently inherited home in Massachusetts which recounted a tragic nineteenth century love affair with a local clergyman. The contemporary heroine finds love with a high school history teacher intrigued with the journal, and who assists her in her research. The novel was featured in the Lakeland, Florida Ledger Sunday edition.

F.G.Currie loves swimming, reading and finds relaxation in watercolor painting. Now a resident of Florida, she spends summers with family in Connecticut where she researches and drafts her novels.
