Reviews of AGAINST THE WIND

Gwynne Forster's background in sociology has served her well in this novel. She knows her subject and her readers and has crafted a credible romance. Jordan's pursuit of Leslie is intense, yet subtle. It is powerful, but at its core is always respectful. Because Leslie is Black and Jordan is white, Forster is careful not to create a slave-master story. Jordan is a man any woman would want. however, we are not blind to his shortcomings.

In Against the Wind, Gwynne Forster has given us a mature, believable, full-bodied romance. I strongly recommend it.
Five stars. --- Gwendolyn Osborne, www.Theromancereader.com

Ms. Forster has done an excellent job of making Jordan and Leslie's relationship so natural and real that the issue of race is secondary to the love story. Definitely her best work to date.
4 1/2 stars.---Chandra Y. Sparks, Romantic Times Magazine

"AGAINST THE WIND has been awarded the AWARD OF EXCELLENCE. There is so much about AGAINST THE WIND that makes it an outstanding achievement... AGAINST THE WIND epitomizes all that is wonderful about the AA romance. Wonderful writing, strong characters and an emotional awareness that gives it what we call, SOUL....A wonderful reading experience." ---Wayne Jordan, Romance In Color.

She obtains the job, hiding her relationship to little Tony from him. As the two adults become attracted to one another, both realize that they cannot handle another relationship. As usual, the fabulous Ms. Forster provides readers with an exhilarating contemporary romance starring two superb lead characters. The questions of legal rights versus the best interests for the biological parent after legally giving up the infant, the adopting adult, and the child is cleverly handled to focus on the issues without preaching. What reviewers are saying about FOOLS RUSH IN

"Gwynne Forster has her finger on the pulse of human relationships which she transcribes nicely on the pages of Fools Rush In. [She] is a master when it comes to character development! Duncan and Justine are all too human which makes Ms. Forster's latest romance a must read that is sure to please.
- The Literary Times

"Fools Rush In is a heart warming story of betrayal, deep pain and unselfish love. Ms. Forster's protagonists are two sensitive people who place love for their child before their own burning passion. Ms. Forster knows how to create a romantic aura that leaves the reader wanting more."
- Rendezvous

- Harriet Klausner, The Writers Club, www.writersclub.com

In Fools Rush In, Gwynne Forster has created another winning romance about a couple in which adorable children round out the story. There's so much sexual tension in their scenes together, I kept wondering why they kept lighting the fireplace! Justine lives an emotionally exhausting double life as young Tonya Banks' mother and nanny as each day brings her closer to discovery. Gwynne Forster has created an additional layer of tension between the couple as Justine's deception extends.

Another element of the plot examines the relationship between fathers and daughters. The main characters are very well drawn and the secondary characters provide shading, comic relief and drama. There are several interesting subplots based on Duncan's work as a reporter that provide depth and definition to his character.
- Gwendolyn Osborne, The Romance Reader,www.theromancereader.com

Gwynne Forster has established herself as a writer of excellence whose talent is evident in every stroke of her pen.... FOOLS RUSH IN is quintessential Forster. The creation of wonderfully-rounded complex characters is Ms. Forster's forte. Justine is a multi-dimensional individual who is one of Ms. Forster's most appealing heroines. Duncan is an interesting mature hero...of sensitivity and caring. Along with the hero and heroine, Ms. Forster creates a menagerie of vivid minor characters... FOOLS RUSH IN is a wonderfully sensitive romance."

Finally, he shakes her up and turns her inside out with primal, rock bottom loving, then drags from her the secret, guilt and shame that plague her. Free at last to love, she joins him in a powerful union of souls.

What others are saying...

"No one strips naked the soul of an individual any better than the gifted Gwynne Forster can. NAKED SOUL, her latest ethnic romance is a great contemporary tale that demonstrates how the lessons of the child haunt the motives and actions of the adult. The lead protagonists are intriguing. However what makes Ms. Forster's tale so terrific is Della's motivations as an adult, which were planted in her childhood. Fans of contemporary romance should try this and other works by Ms. Forster because she always provides a poignant plot that is truly fulfilling."  ---Harriet Klausner, WCRG, America On Line

What others are saying...

"Only a gifted writer such as Gwynne Forster can coordinate these elements while literally making words dance on the page. It is as if she reaches down in her soul and pulls out characters who are nothing less than incredible. This is such a heartwarming story of family love, challenges, heartbreak and joy. Magnus’s problems with his brother go way back, but he is determined that Prince will never get his hands on Selena. Not if he has anything to say about it.

Here's what others are saying about Obsession...

Gwynne Forster’s Obsession is a fast-paced, suspenseful tale of two brothers at war and a woman caught in the middle. The heat between Selena and Magnus is as hot as Texas chili from page one, and the love scenes sizzle. Unfortunately, some of Ms. Forster’s dialogue feels awkward and the plot loses luster due to unrealistic plot elements. However, her interesting secondary characters and several twists in the story make up for other flaws and fans of Ms. Forster will find her ending sweet and satisfying.
"Gwynne Forster’s writing crackles with sensuality! Her love scenes will leave you breathless!"
"A fast-paced story filled with suspense and enough twists to rival a Texas twister! Hot, hot, hot!"
