Mary
Jane began life as an Air Force brat. She claims that the numerous moves she
made as a child mind-warped her into a writer. During those times when she was
new and friendless, she devoured books. As she formed alliances in each new
locale, she became a student of personalities. She enjoyed storytelling and
soon found that she could get lots of attention, some of it positive, from sharing
her stories with others. Her early tales featured a young heroine and an assortment
of household pets. Since then, she has discovered that good-looking men make
far more interesting heroes.
Her own personalized hero entered her life nearly thirty years ago, at 6AM on the wards of Charity Hospital, New Orleans, where she was working as a venipuncturist (i.e., person who draws blood from unsuspecting patients -- also fondly known as a "vampire.") Soon swept off her feet and totally charmed by the young medical student’s wit and wisdom, she married him a year later.
During the course of their happily ever after, she has worked as a medical technologist, managed her husband’s office, and raised three children. Writing began as a hobby and became a passion that she now pursues full time.
Mary Jane and her adventurous husband/ soul- mate reside in the high desert of northeastern Utah, with a back-porch view of the beautiful Uinta Mountains. For fun, she loves to hike, ski, read, and travel. She is currently working on a third contemporary romance.
