WHAT'S NEW FROM THERESA MICHAELS

A father is granted more than one wish in MORE THAN A MIRACLE, my novella in Harlequin's ONE CHRISTMAS anthology on sale this month.  Delightful tales of the old West along with favorite Christmas recipes and author's letters sharing family traditions are sure to please readers.

In November, SILK AND STEEL will be in the stores.  Jamie of Clan Gunn (readers first met him in FIRE AND SWORD) is a warrior of legendary passion.  Jamie's fierce clan loyalty may cost him the love of the only woman he wants, Lady Gilliane de Verrill, the very woman a powerful Norman lord claims as his promised bride.  Harlequin created a beautiful cover and the painting bringing Jamie and Gilliane to life is breathtaking.

MIST AND MAGIC is a July 2001 release.  From the Scottish Highlands to the wild mountains of Wales, Davey of Clan Gunn guards the druid priestess, Meredith, on a quest to recover four ancient gifts belonging to her people.  Brimming with magic and a powerful love story, I hope readers will enjoy the conclusion to the Clan Gunn.

Rounding out upcoming releases is GIFTS OF LOVE in October 2001.  This mail order bride story won the B. Dalton Bookseller Award for Bestselling Series Historical and the National Reader's choice Award for Best Historical Romance.

I wish you the blessing of good books and the time to enjoy them!

The Clan Gunn men - Warriors of legendary passions!

Davey Gunn was bewitched...or so his clan surmised.  What else but ensorcellment could compel their stalwart warrior to leave the Highlands and go a-questing with a mysterious Druidess?  But Davey knew his fate and his heart were forever entwined with Meredith of Cambria, the woman who'd placed her healing kiss upon his beleaguered soul...!

They could never be lovers.  'Twould mean death to the dreams of Meredith's people. No, Davey had been chosen only to help her reclaim four ancient prizes of power.  But, she suspected, the power of that oldest of magics-true love-could not long be denied!

"In the tradition of word and sorcery historical romance, Theresa Michaels turns medieval Scotland into a land of myth and magic, but the true magic is in her marvelous storytelling that completely captivates the reader.  A tightly woven tale...great power in each and every page that will hold you spellbound until the triumphant climax."  4 1/2 stars, Romantic Times Top Pick

"Fabulous...a wonderful tale of magic that is simply thrilling...neat plot twists mingle with a spine tingling sensuality that is going to leave you breathless.  Don't miss this tantalizing tale that is a surefire winner."  Suzanne Coleburn, Belles & Beaux of Romance

"Magic and Mist is a spiritual war and a mental struggle between the evil and good forces as the powers battle...a good, complete and satisfying story." Carol Carter, Reviewer, Romance Reviews Today, Under The Covers

Silk and Steel

Harlequin, November 2000
ISBN: 0-373-29136-1

The motto of Clan Gunn had ne'er rung more true for Jamie Gunn than when first he drew the Lady Gilliane de Verrill into his arms. Aye, he knew then the bone-deep truth of it. She was for him...and no other!

Lady Gilliane had escaped being wed to a decadent Norman, only to face a new danger in the form of Highland warrior Jamie Gunn.  Tanist for his clan, Jamie lived by his sword.  And Gilliane was terrified - of losing him and never again hearing the singing in her blood his very presence roused!

Best known for love and laughter stories as well as several novellas for St. Martin’s Press, Cantrell’s latest are Chocolate Kisses (2/97) which follows the success and the re-release of For The Love of Chocolate (5/96).
