Mary Pope OsborneAbout the Author - Mary Pope Osborne grew up as a military kid traveling and living in many places. When her dad retired and they moved to a small town, Mary was bored, bored, bored! Then she found the adventure she was seeking at a local community theater. When she got older, she traveled to many more places in Europe and continued her life of adventure until she got sick and had to come home. It was then that she saw Will Osborne in a play and she was in love. After they were married, Mary still had lots of different jobs to keep her busy until the day she sat down and wrote a story called Run, Run Fast as You Can. Mary finally knew what she wanted to be when she grew up! Now Mary writes mysteries and adventure stories all the time and she even writes the MTH Research Guides with her husband Will and her older sister Natalie. (She also has a twin brother and a younger brother.) She now lives in New York with her husband and their dogs.
