Sophie acts for major lenders in complex and high value litigation.

Her advice includes matters arising in commercial banking and recovery disputes, including security issues, undue influence and reputational considerations. Sophie is experienced negotiating settlements on behalf of her banking clients. She is highly regarded for her proactive and diligent approach. Sophie has developed a specialism advising both joint fixed charge receivers and lender clients appointing receivers on a wide range of contentious receivership issues.

 

Sophie joined TLT in 2014 and has gone on to train and qualify with the firm, becoming an Associate in 2018 and Senior Associate in 2022.

  • Acting for a wealth bank to settle a high value debt recovery dispute.
  • Acting for a major UK bank in defeating a High Court claim by its former customers, including allegations of fraud and undue influence.
