Chris is a data privacy specialist providing strategic legal counsel to clients in financial services, tech and fintech.

Chris advises on contract negotiations, corporate transactions and the implementation of complex data and privacy programmes. He is also a key member of TLT’s data privacy consulting practice which provides clients with new legal tech, consulting, and managed legal services.

Chris is highly experienced in advising global financial services institutions on the legal, regulatory and reputational aspects of complex DSARs and data incidents. Before joining TLT, Chris led the APAC and Europe privacy programmes at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. He previously worked for AXA, OSB Group and Deloitte, where he helped create a new multi-jurisdictional data risk service for assessing privacy and confidentiality for global technology initiatives.

Chris was an active member of both UK Finance and UK Investment Association GDPR working groups. He holds the following IAPP accreditations: Fellow of Information Privacy, Certified Information Privacy Manager and Certified Privacy Professional (Europe and Asia). Chris is a solicitor-advocate with higher rights of audience in civil proceedings.
