Fergus specialises in planning and compulsory purchase. He regularly advises clients in the energy, mineral, development and local government sectors on issues such as strategic planning, infrastructure agreements and compulsory purchase.
His recent experience has included advising a public sector body on securing planning permission for a retail led housing scheme, acting for a renewables client in defending their permission for a wind turbine and acting for a house builder at the court of appeal in relation to a judicial review of a decision by the secretary of state.
Fergus’ legal and previous work experience means that he is able to deliver honed legal advice aimed at adding value and meeting client aims.
