Gregor is a focused and forward-looking solicitor, with a strong experience in the Future Energy and Infrastructure market.

In recent years his focus has been on the development of Clean Energy projects and the grid regulatory aspects of Clean Energy projects. 

He has experience working alongside developers, energy distribution companies, investment funds, energy distribution companies and local authorities in relation to all stages of a project lifecycle. 

His experience includes the drafting, negotiation and management of construction contracts, project agreements, ancillary documents (including security documentation, collateral warranties and professional appointments) as well as providing input in funding and development agreements, across a range of technologies including solar, battery storage, biomass, wind (offshore & onshore) and waste to energy. 

So far in 2022/2023, Gregor has advised on 32 energy storage, 63 solar, 6 EV charging, 2 anaerobic digestion, 28 onshore and offshore wind, 1 hydroponic farming and 8 grid/ private network projects.

Experience

  • Advising one of the largest portfolios of subsidy-free solar and battery projects in the UK.
  • Advising on the continuing development of grid scale energy storage projects  in England and Scotland.  Greg has assisted on 4 projects to date with a combined capacity of just over 300MW. 
  • Advising on a major framework arrangement for a clean energy developer’s energy storage portfolio.  In the last 12 months Greg has advised on 6 projects with a combined capacity of just over 129MW.
  • Advising a client and its UK subsidiary on the development and construction of a 144MW portfolio of of six solar projects across the UK.
  • Advising an international developer on four separate concession arrangements with two local authorities and one combined authority for the construction and operation of over 1,500 electric vehicle charging stations.
