She primarily advises financial institutions in relation to complex disputes and contentious regulator matters. She also advises individuals in relation to criminal and regulatory investigations. Jemma has recently completed a secondment to the FCA’s Enforcement and Market Oversight Division, working on some significant enforcement actions involving potential AML breaches and financial crime. She also draws on her previous experience seconded to one of the firm’s largest banking clients, both in its litigation and business teams, which provides her with a real focus and understanding of her client’s business and needs.
Jemma also has experience acting for major banking clients in large scale remediation programmes arising from the treatment of customers during the economic downturn.
Jemma regularly advises in relation to disputes arising from retail banking including product mis-selling, breach of contract, debt recovery and professional negligence.
