Jemma is a specialist in public inquiries and investigations, with a focus on complex disclosure and document management issues.

Jemma has over 10 years of experience managing investigations and large-scale legal projects. She has experience in advising a range of public sector clients in relation to complex and high-profile statutory public inquiries. She has acted for both the Inquiry Legal Team and core participants, providing legal advice to high profile witnesses. Jemma is adept at strategic stakeholder management and is able to provide pragmatic advice as well as dealing with technical disclosure issues. She routinely advises on legal project set up, disclosure strategy, issues of privilege and inquiry rules and procedure. 

 

Prior to joining the public inquiry and public law team Jemma focused on advising the firm’s financial services clients in relation to internal investigations and contentious regulatory matters. Jemma draws on her experience seconded to one at the firm’s largest banking clients and to the FCA’s Enforcement and Market Oversight Division, working on some significant enforcement actions involving potential AML breaches and financial crime.
