Katie joined the employment team at TLT in 2018. 

Katie regularly advises employers on a wide range of employment issues, providing practical and commercially focussed solutions.

Katie supports clients with a variety of day to day employment issues such as contracts, policies, disciplinary and grievances. Katie also works with clients on projects including redundancy consultations and corporate support. On the contentious side, Katie advises on tricky employee exits and handles Employment Tribunal claims from unfair dismissal to more complex matters such as discrimination and whistleblowing, including appearing as an advocate.

Katie also advises senior-level individuals in relation to workplace disputes and settlement agreements.

Katie qualified in 2016 and her supervisor at TLT is Paula Cole.

  • Delivering bespoke training to managers and HR teams on handling workplace issues, disciplinary investigations and the application of employment law.
  • Handling Employment Tribunal claims on behalf of employers from Acas Early Conciliation to final hearing, including settlement discussions, multiple-Claimant matters and representation in the Employment Tribunal.
  • Working collaboratively with clients on a redundancy consultations (including collective consultation), advising on the process from pre-consultation considerations to post-dismissal matters.
  • Advising on a contentious director-level exit following whistleblowing allegations.
  • Advising multiple individuals from the same organisation where they were dismissed without process, including pre-action. correspondence and commencing litigation.
