Nimarta is experienced in a broad range of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, private equity investment, corporate reorganisations and general corporate matters.
She specialises in M&A transactions, advising a range of clients, including owner-managed businesses and large companies across different sectors, in particular leisure, food & drink, and retail and consumer goods.
Nimarta is an experienced employee ownership adviser, having advised on some of Scotland’s largest employee ownership transactions.
Nimarta has a particular interest in data protection and is a Law Society of Scotland Certified Specialist. She regularly works with clients, advising on the UK GDPR and all aspects of data protection compliance.

- Advising shareholders on exits across a variety of sectors, including the sale of a luxury country estate and golf course, the sale of an independent whisky merchant and acting for a number of veterinary practices on their respective sales to consolidators.
- Advising a number of companies on their transitions to Employee Ownership, including a leading musical retailer and a notable gaming operator.
- Acting for angel syndicates and investee companies on various funding rounds, particularly in relation to early-stage tech companies.
