Oluwatobi is an Associate in the Restructuring and Insolvency team, specialising in both contentious and non-contentious corporate and personal insolvency.

Oluwatobi acts for a wide range of stakeholders including insolvency practitioners, lenders, debtors, directors, and creditors, in domestic, multi-jurisdictional and cross-border matters.

 

Her areas of expertise include:

  • advising administrators and liquidators on the appointment process;
  • advising company directors on their statutory duties and obligations under the Insolvency Act 1986, the Companies Act 2006 and other relevant legislation;
  • assisting lenders and insolvency practitioners with the sale and realisation of assets in both domestic and foreign jurisdictions.
  • pursuing breaches of fiduciary duty, misfeasance, unlawful dividend, and antecedent transaction claims.

  • Acted for and advised the administrators of a whole foods supply business on the proposed administration and subsequent sale of the business and assets by the administrators.
  • Acted for the proposed administrators of a publicity traded cybersecurity company on the appointment of administrators and sale of the PLC and its respective subsidiaries.
  • Acted on behalf of a major UK lender to a well-known British manufacturing company and its connected companies and the subsequent sale and assignment of outstanding debt.
  • Advised a significant UK lender on enforcement options and strategy to recover a long outstanding debt from the operators of a hotel and restaurant chain.
  • Currently acting for the joint liquidations and former joint administrators of a Mayfair art gallery on their appointment as liquidators and various matters arising out of the course of the liquidation.
