He specialises in all facets of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious. He has particularly vast experience in:
Discrimination
Dismissals
TUPE
Whistleblowing
Redundancies/restructuring/contract changes
Negotiation of exit packages/settlements
Management of day-to-day procedures such as disciplinaries, grievances and attendance management
Stephen also has extensive experience in Tribunal litigation, including defending complex and multi-day cases for large national and international businesses. This has included Stephen conducting his own advocacy, for both preliminary and trial hearings.
Stephen prides himself on being a personable and approachable Solicitor, who finds solutions for clients that are pragmatic and commercially focused.

Experience
- Conducting a 4-day trial, and successfully defending claims for race, age and sex discrimination and harassment against a multi-national retailer
- Advising a multi-national military defence manufacturer on the TUPE transfer of circa 140 employees to another business via a service provision change
- Advising a military defence logistics business on the handling of a Director, including managing a grievance process, GDPR subject access request and settlement/exit package
- Providing extensive advice to multiple businesses over their handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, including the use of furlough, handling working arrangements and managing restructures
