Will qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and is a managing associate in the firm’s Real Estate Group. 

Will advises on transactional matters involving commercial properties, with a particular expertise in the Retail and Leisure sectors. He has undertaken work for major high street brands and chains, including bars and restaurants, retailers, gyms, hotels, pub and brewery companies, as well as financial institutions and private investors.

His work for these clients includes a broad range of activities, including drafting and negotiating documents in connection with freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals and matters involving the finance/re-finance of a property or a portfolio of properties. Will also assists clients in agreeing the structure of transactions and is involved in general estate management work for clients with a large portfolio of properties.

Will is a member of the Manchester Law Society Commercial Property Committee.

  • The acquisition of a lease for a national hospitality brand taking a new site in a Town Centre, which was in the process of being re-developed. This involved the review of the Landlord’s legal title to the site and the negotiation of documents, which dealt with the development of the unit by the Landlord, financial contributions and tax related matters.
  • The disposal of a freehold site on behalf of a large international brand.
  • The acquisition of a lease for an international company taking its first site within a national landmark.
  • Acting for a large pub company in connection with the refinance of a large portfolio of Properties, including the drafting and negotiation of lengthy certificates of title required by the lender.
  • Advising on the restructure of a portfolio of properties on behalf of a large pub company.
