Emma Erskine-Fox, a managing associate in national law firm TLT’s tech, IP and data team has today been recognised in The Lawyer’s highly coveted Hot 100 2025 list – an accolade that acknowledges her exceptional skill and dedication to the legal profession.

The prestigious list highlights the achievements of the most talented, innovative and dynamic lawyers in the UK, honouring those who have made a significant impact through their work.

Emma was included in the list for her market-leading work, including advising the Information Commissioner’s Office on a high-profile investigation into the use of facial recognition technology, and for her role at the forefront of TLT’s AI practice. The last 12 months have also seen Emma be an ambassador for the firm’s own responsible use of AI through taking part in firm-wide pilots of AI-based LegalTech solutions and supporting the drafting of TLT’s own AI policy documentation.

Emma significantly contributes to TLT’s people-first values and equality and diversity initiatives. She supports women through TLT’s Women’s Equality Network Committee and promotes mental health as a Wellbeing Champion.

On her inclusion in The Lawyer’s Hot 100 list, Emma commented: “This is a 'pinch me' moment in my career. I’m honoured to be included alongside so many brilliant lawyers.

“I’m exceptionally proud to have built my career at such a progressive, innovative and supportive firm. Working at TLT has provided me with numerous opportunities, including promoting me to managing associate whilst I was on maternity leave in 2022. I have been open about the challenges I experienced in returning to that more senior role after a year out of the business, but TLT’s support, as well as our fully flexible approach to working, has enabled me to find a suitable working pattern and successfully balance home and work life. I’m incredibly grateful for the ongoing support and trust of our clients, my team and colleagues across the firm, without whom this accolade would not have been possible.”
