TLT has been appointed to Vodafone’s global legal panel to provide a full-service offering to the leading technology giant.

As part of the organisations’ shared commitment to diversity and inclusion and environmental, social and governance performance, TLT has signed up to an ambitious set of commitments to share best practice and collaborate on these topics.

The eight panel firms will also form diverse working teams when managing the relationship with Vodafone and advising on legal matters, and all firms have agreed to a set of mindful working principles.

The process was led by partners James Touzel, head of digital, and Daniel Lloyd, head of telecoms, with support from a multi-disciplinary team including: client transformation partner Siân Ashton; head of clean energy and real estate Maria Connolly; partner James D Webb; and director of knowledge management Mark West. Tin Pan Media provided the audio-visual components of TLT’s successful pitch.

James Touzel, partner and head of TLT’s digital sector team, says: “We are delighted to be appointed to the Vodafone panel. Throughout the tender process we felt our particular expertise and approach – with a focus on working collaboratively to prepare their business for what comes next – fitted well with their requirements.

“We all felt a strong alignment with the client’s core values, particularly on diversity and inclusion, sustainability and social impact.

“We are looking forward to working as trusted business advisors to Vodafone and helping them deliver on their strategic priorities."

On announcing the new panel, Rosemary Martin, group general counsel and company secretary at Vodafone, said: “At Vodafone, we aim to build a digital society that enhances socio-economic progress, embraces everyone and does not come at the cost of our planet.

“Our purpose is now very much at the core of everything that we do and I am proud that this now extends to our legal panel. We are looking forward to these new ways of working.”
