TLT expands financial services regulatory expertise with partner duo

TLT has expanded its financial services regulatory offering with the appointment of Angela Hayes and Robin Penfold as partners in London. 

Hayes is a long-established expert in financial services regulation with a focus on regulatory investigations, including internal investigations and enforcement defence.

With broad sector experience, she brings particular expertise in the asset management sector and market abuse regulation.

Penfold specialises in retail financial services regulation and advises clients on a range of regulatory and compliance matters, with particular expertise in consumer credit, mortgages and payment services regulation. 

He has extensive experience advising on compliance and risk issues relating to mortgages, loans, credit cards, current accounts, savings and investment products, including working with clients on new product development and digital transformation projects.

He also brings valuable experience from his work at the regulator and in industry, including having recently worked as chief compliance officer at a challenger bank.

The appointments bring TLT’s financial services regulatory team complement up to 15 made up of six partners and nine associates with further growth in the pipeline. The team covers a range of specialisms including payments, investigations, mortgages, enforcement, consumer credit and asset management.
