TLT has welcomed a number of new lawyers and trainees, further strengthening the depth of service offered to clients in Northern Ireland.

The firm retained 100 per cent of its newly qualified lawyers, as four remain with TLT after successfully completing their training contracts in Belfast. Ben Lambon joins the banking team, Lauren Donnelly moves into real estate, Mark Christie qualifies into litigation and Manus Kearney joins the employment team.

The team in Belfast has also been joined by two new associates; Kathy McComb in banking and Joan Davison in real estate. Kathy will advise financial institutions on a wide range of finance documents including facility agreements and intercreditor agreements. Joan specialises in real estate law advising on commercial lettings, acquisitions and disposals, property development and property finance.

In addition, the firm has appointed four new trainees who will complete two years of training in Belfast, learning and progressing their careers across different practice areas.

The new appointments follow a successful year during which TLT celebrated its tenth anniversary in Northern Ireland and significantly grew its Legal 500 rankings in seven practice areas. The firm has made strides in terms of its equality, diversity and inclusion strategy, and was accredited with the Silver Diversity Mark in recognition of TLT’s commitment to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace.

Katharine Kimber, partner and head of location in Northern Ireland commented: We pride ourselves on having a people-first culture, and investing in the future of the firm is incredibly important to us. Our 100% trainee success and retention rate is a reflection of the commitment we invest into attracting, supporting and developing our people. I wish all our newly qualified lawyers the best of luck as they embark on this exciting part of their career in law. I’m also delighted to welcome our new cohort of trainees who will complete two years of training at TLT, alongside some of the best legal talent in the sector. We’re also pleased to be joined by two new associates who will help strengthen the depth of service we offer, helping us prepare clients for what comes next.”
