TLT is supporting a collective of pioneers in climate change solutions to support Action Net Zero in its mission to make Bristol's transport cleaner and greener.

Action Net Zero has today announced its headline partners for the initiative, which include renewable energy provider Good Energy, fleet and mobility solutions provider ALD Automotive, and Co Charger, a company that helps people make the switch to electric vehicles by enabling businesses and residents to share chargers.

The initiative aims to support Bristol residents and businesses move towards a more environmentally-friendly future through the adoption of sustainable transport options, including electric vehicles.

Maria Connolly, partner and head of clean energy and real estate at TLT, says:

“We’re pleased to be supporting Action Net Zero with its campaign to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles in Bristol. To meet the UK’s ambitious net zero targets we must be bold and we must take action now, which means working together to drive forward the roll out of EVs and the associated charging infrastructure to make EV ownership more accessible for everyone.

“This initiative provides a great opportunity to allow industry voices to be heard, and to inspire change nationally, as we strive for a cleaner future together.

Stuart Urquhart, legal director at TLT, added:

“It’s clear that it will take a collaborative effort to increase adoption of EVs and boost the charging infrastructure available in the region, and we believe partnerships are the key. There is increasing expectation on local authorities to deliver electric charging points, and partnering with businesses and developers will be crucial to making this happen.

“While we are seeing increased investment in the EV market overall, more needs to be done at local level to fill the gap. Bristol, the UK’s first ever European Green Capital, is the perfect place to kick-start a local EV revolution.
