The partnership with Legora marks a major milestone in TLT’s wider generative AI programme, Project Maui. With the goal of always putting u at the centre of AI, Maui is an ambitious, firm-wide initiative to uncover the best uses for the technology, where this will help lawyers focus on more valuable and rewarding work and deliver a better experience to clients.
Legora has been specifically designed to support the legal sector by streamlining document drafting, reviews and legal research. The product enhances consistency, reduces human error, and enables collaboration through shared prompts and project-based workflows. It releases human time for strategic legal work, with efficiency gains and positive feedback reported from legal teams using the technology.
Spearheaded by TLT’s award-winning FutureLaw team, Legora will be rolled out to multiple teams across the firm, with a bespoke training and adoption programme.
TLT’s FutureLaw team has grown significantly in the last five years comprising legal technologists, consultants, analysts and project managers, supported by a wider network of Innovation Managers and Knowledge Lawyers embedded in teams across TLT. The firm’s achievements in the tech and innovation space were recognised in 2024 with TLT winning the Legal Technology Team of the Year Award at the Legal Business Awards, and being named one of the most innovative law firms in Europe by the Financial Times.
James Touzel, Partner and Head of FutureLaw at TLT commented: “Legora aligns with our strategy to integrate the latest innovative technology to enhance our legal operations across our sectors and service lines, unlocking new opportunities for our clients and our lawyers.
“Legora will help us accelerate this goal by transforming the way we deliver our services. By delivering with greater speed and accuracy, we empower our lawyers to make an even larger strategic contribution and unlock new data and insights from the work they do. Legora’s commitment to collaboration, always having our lawyers and clients at the centre of what they do and their willingness to work together on new client solutions has been stand-out and aligns perfectly with our strategy for the future.”
Alex Fortescue-Webb, Head of UK at Legora added: “Our collaboration with TLT shows the value of working closely with legal teams to provide them with a solution that meets their needs exactly. We work tirelessly to ensure that Legora exceeds expectations at every step by having a laser focus on alignment with how lawyers actually work and the quality and transparency of the platform’s outputs. We are incredibly excited to be the partner of choice for TLT, as we help them realise their AI aspirations today, while building future solutions together that will help them continue delivering exceptional outcomes for their clients.”
