TLT lawyer crowned Paralegal of the Year

Louise Dallas, associate and commercial dispute resolution (CDR) team leader in TLT's Glasgow office, was crowned Paralegal of the Year by the Scottish Paralegal Association (SPA) at its annual conference.

The SPA is the only paralegal association officially recognised by the Law Society of Scotland and this coveted award recognises the value that paralegals bring to the legal profession.

Louise plays a critical role in TLT's CDR team. She has taken on a wide range of responsibilities, all of which are completed to exceptionally high standard, from people development and system development to managing and building new client relationships. She is also paving the way for new work streams, growth and development for TLT in Scotland.

Sandra Reid, president of the SPA, said: "It was a difficult decision as the calibre of applicants was fantastic. However, Louise’s application stood out from the others due to her obvious drive and determination, not only to manage a team of paralegals but also to find time to develop new processes and procedures and to run workshops firm-wide. All of this while managing her own clients."

Louise Dallas said: "I am honoured to receive this award, which would not have been possible without the continued support from TLT and my fantastic team."

John Paul Sheridan, head of Scotland at TLT, added: "This is a really well earned reward for a huge amount of hard work. We are deeply committed to supporting our staff in developing their career and we are delighted for Louise and pleased that her commitment has been officially recognised by this remarkable accolade."

TLT has made several new lateral hires in Scotland including most recently Caroline Loudon to the firm's market-leading licensing team and real estate partner and renewables specialist Richard Turnbull. TLT has over 75 employees and partners based in Scotland. The firm has offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Belfast, Bristol and London.
