TLT has been shortlisted in three categories at The Lawyer Awards 2024 – for the energy and infrastructure team of the year, litigation team of the year, and most innovative use of technology, demonstrating the breadth of expertise the firm teams offer to clients, across multiple sectors and practices.
The Lawyer Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding work of lawyers, law firms and in-house lawyers.
TLT’s corporate, tax, real estate and planning teams have been shortlisted for the energy and infrastructure team of the year in recognition of their work in advising Intelligent Land Investments Group PLC (ILI) on the sale of the Red John Pumped Storage Hydropower project – one the first of such new schemes to be built in the UK in over 40 years.
TLT has also been picked out in the Litigation team of the year category for its work on the Philipp v Barclays Bank UK PLC case, which resulted in the UK’s Supreme Court providing clear guidance on the so-called ‘Quincecare duty’ owed by banks to their customers, ending a long-running and much-publicised legal debate.
TLT’s FutureLaw and competition teams have also received a nomination for most innovative use of technology, for their work on developing the a market-leading Dawn Raid Solution. The innovative solution replicates the lived experience of a dawn raid via a digital simulation, helping clients prepare employees as part of their crisis management protocols and making competition law training compelling and engaging.
Winners will be announced at an award ceremony in London on 18 June 2024. For more information on the awards visit: https://www.thelawyer.com/event/the-lawyer-awards/
