TLT has been nominated for Legal Technology Team of the Year in recognition of the innovative solution delivered by the firm’s FutureLaw team for waste collection specialist Biffa. Maria Connolly, head of future energy & real estate, has also been shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year. This is in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the UK legal industry and for continually making a positive difference in tackling climate change and the drive towards achieving net zero.
Maria Connolly said: “It’s an honour to have been shortlisted for this prestigious award and a real privilege to be leading the firm’s sustainability strategy which ensures that the planet and our wider ESG commitment is at the forefront of our decision making, employee engagement and collaboration with clients and other key stakeholders. This year marks my 25th anniversary at the firm since joining as a trainee. Over that period our firm has established and grown its future energy sector as one that is globally and nationally recognised. However this has only been made possible through the continued ambition and drive of the firm and my colleagues at TLT, ensuring that we are taking positive and sustainable action to make a difference. This nomination is as much a recognition of their achievements as it is for mine and demonstrates how far we have come in the last decade as a leading UK law firm.”
James Touzel, head of FutureLaw, commented: “We’re really pleased to have been shortlisted for this award at the Legal Business Awards and to also our clients recognised. The nomination showcases our strengths in innovation and our commitment to working hand-in-hand with our clients to understand their needs and help them progress for what comes next .”
Winners will be announced at an event hosted by Louise Minchin taking place on 27 September at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London.
