The firm took away the top prize for eco-friendliness in recognition of the progress TLT has made in the last twelve months in terms of its employee-driven environmental and sustainability initiatives.
TLT’s success is a result of several ambitious sustainability policies, including achieving approval from Science Based Targets initiative for our 2040 net zero targets, aligned with halting global temperature rise to 1.5°C and going beyond many companies aiming for 2°C.
In addition, the firm recently signed a lease for a new office in Manchester: Eden, considered one of the most environmentally friendly office spaces in the UK. This follows the firm’s Glasgow office moving to Cadworks earlier this year, one of the most sustainable buildings in Scotland and first net zero buildings in the city.
TLT has made conscious efforts to reduce its environmental impact wherever possible by ensuring operational controls including improving energy efficiency, consistently updating sustainability targets, and engaging with clients and staff on their environmental impacts. The firm’s sustainability hub also encourages eco-friendly travel considerations, sustainable purchasing and community engagement.
Alongside winning for eco-friendliness, TLT was highly commended in Best Law Firm for Training, Peer Support, Partner Approachability, Work from Home (WFH), and The Legal Cheek Firm of the Year.
Sasha Butterworth, senior partner and future talent sponsor said:“Sustainability is a key issue for everyone at TLT, as well as for our clients and the wider net zero drive across the UK. We’re delighted to have been recognised in a category close to our hearts, as well as being commended in so many of Legal Cheek’s awards.”
