National law firm TLT has won the Legal Innovation of the Year award at the annual Bristol Law Society Awards, cementing the firm’s leading position in developing innovative solutions to support clients.

The Bristol Law Society Awards showcase the achievements of the Bristol legal community over the last 12 months. The Legal Innovation of the Year award recognises law firms, in-house teams and Chambers that are innovating and changing the way legal products and services are delivered or shifting business models to meet changing client demands.

TLT’s Research and FutureLaw teams have been decorated for their jointly developed horizon scanning service. This solution was designed to help clients conduct effective horizon scanning by providing targeted and accessible information on upcoming regulatory and legislative change. Designed to meet the needs of clients, the cutting-edge solution is a cost-effective and efficient tool that has had a demonstrable impact on businesses across different sectors.

This victory follows a string of award wins for TLT in the innovation space, including winning Legal Technology Team of the Year joint with Vodafone at the Legal Business Awards and being commended at the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Europe Awards in the innovation in regulatory solutions category.

Angela Leavens, head of research commented: “Our horizon-scanning solution has been developed to help clients efficiently anticipate upcoming regulatory and legislative changes, which continue to accelerate.

"It is a pleasure to be recognised for our hard-work and to see ourselves positioned at the forefront of legal innovation in both Bristol and nationally”.
