There are more than 12 million disabled people in the UK with a combined spending power of £249 billion, also known as the Purple Pound.

Yet retailers are missing out by not making fashion more inclusive – whether people are shopping in-store or online – and the coronavirus pandemic has exacerbated these issues.

In 2019, we sponsored a TED Talk by GB Para-archer Chloe Ball-Hopkins on ‘Why isn’t fashion inclusive of disabled people?’.

Watch Chloe’s talk and look out for our upcoming interview with her on the impact the pandemic has had on this issue, the opportunities for retailers, and short and long-term solutions.
