Commercial property risks for SSAS providers and how to mitigate them

• The liability SSAS providers could be exposed to in commercial property transactions, including sales, leases and taking charges over property;
• Tax risks relating to pensions tax rules and the VAT pitfalls and opportunities to consider when investing in commercial property, including when and why to opt to tax, an introduction to the capital goods scheme and a brief overview of recent VAT developments;
• Key ways in which SSAS providers can protect themselves and mitigate the risks of liability.
