TLT Partner appointed as Co-Chair of major UK anti-fraud coalition

Claire Graham, Partner at UK national law firm TLT, has been appointed as Co-Chair of the UK Fraud Forum (UKFF).

The UK Fraud Forum is an umbrella organisation comprising seven regional fraud forums located in the South West; the Midlands; the North West; Northern Ireland; Eastern England; Yorkshire and Humber. Claire is also the Chair of the North West Fraud Forum.

The UK Fraud Forums act as a conduit between private and public entities fighting to combat fraud and frequently work with the UK Home Office and the Regional Organised Crime Units, hosting conferences and masterclasses for fraud professionals to make connections and learn best practice.

Operating at the intersection of fraud, restructuring and regulatory oversight, Claire advises public bodies, financial institutions and other organisations facing complex fraud risks. Her work spans contentious and advisory matters, including investigations, regulatory engagement and organisational responses to wrongdoing. She has been involved in high‑profile government investigations and has worked closely with the Insolvency Service for over 20 years on investigations, director duties and public interest winding‑up cases. She is also a Certified Investigator.

Claire’s ability to provide comprehensive guidance on risk, governance, remediation and emerging fraud trends sets her apart in the market. Her appointment as UKFF Co-Chair is recognition of this, and TLT’s position as a trusted advisor to clients on fraud, financial misconduct and governance‑related risk.

Commenting on her appointment, Claire said: “I am delighted and honoured to be appointed to lead such an important body. Fraud represents around 40% of all crime in England and Wales and taking a joined-up national approach is one of the best things we can do to counter it.

“My appointment also represents a vote of confidence in TLT, and in the top tier support we provide to our clients across investigations, disputes and preventative strategy.”

James Gliddon, Co-Chair of the UKFF, Chair of the SWFF and Disputes Partner at an International Law Firm added: Successful fraud prevention and response requires a multi-sector and, often, multi-practitioner effort. From law enforcement, tech, forensics, public sector, academia and industry – there is rarely a single fix to the huge societal challenges fraud presents.

"As spelt out in the new UK Fraud Strategy, it has never been more important to connect all of these perspectives. I am proud to Co-Chair this group with Claire and promote the benefits of a national network of regionally-based Forums, including the human interaction and development of collaborative relationships that is necessary to improve the UK’s prevention and response efforts”
