Experience

Advising a major retail sector PLC borrower on their syndicated £325m facility agreement (with a syndicate of six lenders) demonstrating our status as “trusted adviser” to listed UK PLCs with the ability to deliver complex and strategic syndicated facilities for high profile clients.

Advising on a £60m non-recourse debt facility to the UK’s leading owner and operator of battery storage to support the construction and operation of an additional ‘in front of the meter’ battery storage project, which is anticipated to be the largest in Scotland and the first transmission connected battery in the country.

Advising a major UK bank lender on £30m (plus £15m accordion) Sustainability Linked Loan facilities to a UK-based PLC. The transaction was one of the first Sustainability Linked Loans to an upper mid-market borrower.

Acting lender-side on the £70m refinancing of the debt of the Arsenal/Emirates Stadium group, which included the discharge of the remaining outstanding debt under a previous bond financing of the Emirates stadium and a rescheduling of the complex intercreditor arrangements between the bank and other finance providers.

Acting lender-side on an inaugural £290m private securitisation/ future flow deal for a UK specialist lender, with the capital markets team of a major UK bank providing funding via a notes issue and mezzanine debt.

Advising a major clearing bank on its multi-million pound investment and development facilities to the Turkington Group in connection with construction of the new 7,000 square metre logistics warehouse at James Park in Portadown, Northern Ireland and surrounding development lands (which includes significant infrastructure for electric vehicles (EV) charging points).
