Community, connection and collaboration
TLT and Forest Green Rovers FC
Three years on from becoming the exclusive legal partner of Forest Green Rovers (FGR), Maria Connolly, head of future energy and real estate, sat down with Ambassador for Forest Green Rovers, Helen Taylor, to discuss:
- the importance of talking about the S in ESG, and how their summer holiday camps for kids, and weekly community hub, have been bringing people together.
- their new sustainability initiatives, such as their new pee–to-pitch scheme, recycled dugout seats, and how they’re using diamonds to power pumps for match-day drinks.
- and the importance of collaborating with partners to create impact in their fanbase – and ultimately work towards a greener Britain.
Forest Green Rovers are pioneers for eco-friendly football and sustainability in sport, as they support and unite local communities through football, whilst also creating fantastic eco-friendly initiatives that are inspiring other clubs.
At TLT, we believe that businesses are instrumental in tackling the climate crisis. That’s why we’re working with local, national, and international organisations to create new opportunities for collective sustainable action to ensure that the UK achieves net zero by 2050.
