DMCC Act subscription contract rules: Everything you need to know
Zoom Webinar | 10 November 2026 | 12:00 - 13:00
Are you ready for 1 January 2027?
The Consumer Subscription Contracts (Cancellation and Information) Regulations 2026 have now been laid before Parliament and the BIST Guidance finally published.
This provides the final piece of the puzzle for the new DMCCA subscriptions regime.
With the new regime applying to contracts entered into from 1 January 2027, now is the time to start preparing.
Join TLT’s consumer law specialists as we cut through the detail and explore:
- implementation timings, grace periods and the position on enforcement
- new requirements around pre-contract information and renewal reminders
- cooling-off rights, including issues relating to digital content
- easy exit and cancellation requirements
- regulatory and consumer consequences of getting it wrong, including potential penalties of up to 10% of turnover
- practical steps businesses can take to prepare.
We’ll also share TLT’s Subscriptions Guide and outline the support available to help businesses assess their readiness for the new rules.
If you have any questions, get in touch with TLT's event team.
