Peter has acted on a number of recent high profile distressed/insolvency transactions including the acquisitions of TM Lewin, Oasis and Debenhams as well as acting for one of the key financial creditors in relation to the restructuring of Virgin Atlantic.
Peter leads the International Banks practice at TLT acting for a wide range of international banks with significant experience advising Indian and other financial institutions on cross border lending mandates as well as restructurings. He has played a key role in TLT’s LIBOR transition group and is part of TLT’s India Group.
Peter specialises in dealing with transactions in the financial services arena acting on sales/acquisitions of both commercial and retail loan portfolios and Part VII FSMA transfers: he led the TLT team acting on the transfer of the UK business of Triodos Bank NV. Peter is ranked as a leading individual in both Chambers and Legal 500 for restructuring and has been listed in Legal 500's 'Hall of Fame' for many years.

- Advised Axis Bank Limited, India on the restructuring of Typhoo Tea. The transaction involved the recapitalisation and acquisition of the company to protect its future and save over 200 jobs.
- Acted for a payment services provider in respect to its exposure and position on the high profile Virgin Atlantic Restructuring.
- Acted for Torque Brands on the acquisition of TM Lewin’s online business.
