Steve is a highly experienced banking and finance lawyer who has nearly 20 years’ experience and has worked on all aspects of securitisation, receivables finance, asset-based lending, structured lending and bridging, development and commercial lending as well as general lending and banking transactions.

Steve has worked on some of the largest structured finance transactions in the mid-market in recent years and has acted for a variety of clients including banks, funds, private equity groups, corporate borrowers and originators. Steve has frequently ranked in the Legal 500 in the structured finance category and in other banking categories with a link to structured finance, such as the asset-based lending category and is building a strong reputation as one of the leading young structured finance lawyers in the market.

Acting for an international oil company as originator in a USD700m trade receivables securitisation.
Acting for an Isle of Man headquartered bank in various structured lending transactions to SME borrowers and originators.
Acting for a leading commercial bank which was restructuring 120 securitisation transactions in relation to its role as account bank in response to changes to the direct debit scheme rules.
Acting for an international food manufacturer and distributer in its revolving and term credit facilities and in its receivables finance facilities over the last decade including in relation to the restructuring of such facilities.
Acting for a leading UK challenger bank in various bridging and development lending facilities to SME borrowers over the last decade.
