Douglas is a partner in the Banking and Restructuring team with extensive experience advising lenders and borrowers on a broad range of transactional banking work.
He deals with all aspects of corporate lending, debt funding and security with an emphasis on real estate, projects and acquisition finance across a variety of sectors including hotels and leisure, retail, manufacturing, shipping and renewable energy.
Douglas has extensive experience in particular of working on complex real estate investment and development transactions, as well as on infrastructure, urban regeneration, renewable energy and capital projects, with a particular focus on cross-border and multi-jurisdictional work.
He is qualified in both Scotland and England, working actively in both jurisdictions, including with City law firms on the Scottish aspects of complex cross-border finance matters.
