One year in Eden: Interview with Claire Graham

This month, TLT is celebrating one year since its move to Eden in Salford - one of the UK’s most sustainable office buildings.

We recently caught up with some of our colleagues to discuss their memories from the first year in Eden and how the office is supporting them with unlocking new opportunities for clients and colleagues.

Claire Graham, Restructuring & Insolvency Partner

Claire Graham

What is your practice area and how long have you worked at TLT?

I am a partner in the Restructuring and Insolvency team specialising in litigation and investigations. I have been at TLT for just over six years, having joined in May 2019 - shortly before the pandemic!

In what ways has the move to Eden helped unlock new opportunities for your clients and colleagues?

Given Eden’s standing in the community, our clients are very familiar with the building and have been following its development closely. We’ve found that many of them have been eager to visit the premises and catch a glimpse of one of the UK’s most sustainable office developments. The facilities are brilliant. I have organised a number of events here for clients, as well as the Northwest Fraud Forum (which I am the chairperson of). Those events have facilitated meaningful connections for us with clients, opening avenues for collaboration in the future. The building offers a huge variety of facilities allowing us to connect with colleagues and clients. For example, the roof garden is often referred to as the perfect spot to host meetings in a memorable atmosphere.

How is Eden supporting the way you work, the way your team works and the way your clients work?

I always look forward to coming into the office (not just for the coffees) as it is such a lovely environment. The space allows us to work collaboratively but also offers a variety of quiet areas perfect for those who need to concentrate. As a neurodiverse person, having the flexibility to find a space to be less distracted is hugely valuable and then there is also the coffee! If I need some time away to gather my thoughts, there is also a wellbeing room that is available should it be needed. The office’s understanding of flexibility and wellbeing is unlike anywhere I’ve worked previously and is a perfect fit for TLT’s people-first ethos and culture.

What has been a personal highlight in the last year since moving to Eden?

Showing my daughters around the office when we moved in and showing them the Manchester skyline. One almost changed her future plans from medicine to law as a result when she saw how fabulous the office was!
