Strong show for TLT in Scotland with standout 2026 Chambers & Partners performance

UK national law firm TLT has revealed a strong set of Chambers & Partners 2026 results in Scotland, with rankings for 12 individuals and seven practice areas.

TLT has maintained its band 1 ranking for Licensing in Scotland, with two partners in the Scottish team – Caroline Loudon, and Stephen McGowan – also retaining their Band 1 status.

The firm has achieved a first-time ranking in Scotland for Banking and Finance, and has moved up the rankings for Corporate and M&A. Two TLT lawyers in Scotland have also been ranked for the first time: Partner Keith Anderson (Litigation, Scotland) and Kirstyn Burke (Public Inquiries, UK. Stacey Cassidy (Construction) and Ainslie Benzie (R&I) have also risen in the rankings.

The Chambers results come hot on the heels of a strong set of Legal 500 results, which saw the firm secure rankings in 10 categories across its Edinburgh and Glasgow offices.

They also follow on from a busy and successful year for TLT in Scotland, which has seen the firm expand its office at Cadworks in Glasgow and move to the new, expanded ‘New Clarendon’ office in the heart of Edinburgh, more than doubling its footprint in the city. Glasgow and Edinburgh have also played a central role in TLT’s recent financial success, which has seen revenue rise to £187m for FY2024/2025, acting as a cornerstone of the firm’s broader growth strategy.

John Paul Sheridan, Partner and Head of Location for Scotland commented: “Our continued recognition in this year’s Chambers rankings is a strong reflection of our enduring presence and commitment to the Scottish legal market. Over the past year, we’ve grown our footprint in Scotland through the expansion of our Glasgow office and a strategic relocation in Edinburgh - moves that demonstrate our ambition to the market and alongside our regulatory and transactional strength support our ability to consistently deliver top tier advice to clients across our key sectors.“I’m confident that even greater achievements lie ahead, and I’m looking forward to what the future holds.”
