TLT retains top tier position in The Legal 500 UK 2026

National law firm TLT has continued its success in the Legal 500 UK, achieving 89 individual and 73 practice area rankings, including 11 Tier 1 rankings in the 2026 Guide.

The Financial Services sector has been ranked in three new areas for the first time, and achieved Tier 1 rankings in Banking & Finance, Banking Litigation and Insolvency and Corporate Recovery. The Firm’s Retail and Consumer Goods; and Leisure, Food and Drink sectors saw a number of individuals ranked, including maintaining four Leading Partner and a Tier 1 recognition in Licensing.

Other Tier 1 rankings include Corporate & Commercial, Energy, Employment, EU & Competition, Health & Safety, and IT & Telecoms; representative of the Firms’ strengths across its key sectors.

Maria Connolly, Head of Future Energy and Real Estate; Bill Hull, Head of Government and Public Services; and James Touzel, Head of Digital and Future Law have also been recognised in the Legal 500 ‘Hall of Fame’.

The firm has made a number of strategic hires this year, including a team of eight partners across future energy, infrastructure, public law and planning and their 21 associates; projects, infrastructure and construction partner Nuala Maguire alongside banking partner Orla Hanna, and commercial real estate partner Jonathan O’Hagan in Belfast; and Amy McConnell as partner in the FutureLaw team. These contribute to another year of success and growth from TLT, which has seen record annual financial results for 2024/2025, with revenue rising to £187m.
