Top rankings reinforce TLT as Scottish Licensing leader
The Scottish Licensing team of UK national law firm TLT has dominated the practice area legal directory rankings.
TLT is the only top tier firm in Scotland for Licensing, maintaining its tier one ranking in Scotland in this year's Legal 500 and its band 1 ranking for Licensing in the Chambers & Partners ranking in Scotland.
Partner and Head of Licensing (Scotland), Stephen McGowan, achieved "Hall of Fame" status in this year's Legal 500 rankings, and is now the only licensing solicitor to hold this prestigious status in Scotland. He and Partner Caroline Loudon in Scotland also retained their Band 1 Chambers status, underlining the team's long-standing reputation as one of the leading practices in the Scottish market.
This recognition follows a year of considerable growth for the Scottish Licensing team – already the largest in Scotland – which has seen the appointment of Michael McDougall as Managing Associate and Chloe Crawford as an Associate.
Stephen McGowan, Partner and Head of Licensing (Scotland) commented: "This recognition is testament to the strength of our Scottish Licensing team and the quality of work we deliver for our clients. With Michael McDougall returning to private practice and Chloe Crawford joining as an Associate, we’ve continued to grow the team from a position of strength and broaden our experience.
"We’re incredibly grateful to our clients for the trust they place in us and we look forward to continuing to support them for what comes next, long into the future.”
TLT's Licensing team is market leading across the UK and also retained its UK-wide practice area Band 1 and individual Band 1 rankings in Chambers, with Matthew Phipps, Head of Licensing for England and Wales, securing his place in the Legal 500 ‘Hall of Fame’ for another year.
