TLT recognised as Disability Confident Leader
National law firm TLT has been recognised as a Disability Confident Leader, the highest level of the UK Government's Disability Confident scheme, following independent validation by the Business Disability Forum.
Disability Confident Leader status is awarded to organisations that can demonstrate a consistent, evidence-based approach to disability inclusion and accessibility. TLT's accreditation reflects its commitment to embedding accessibility and inclusion across the firm and recognises the practical steps it has taken to recruit, support and develop disabled colleagues.
The recognition places TLT alongside many of its clients across the financial services, public sector and technology sectors that have also achieved the highest level of the scheme.
The accreditation reflects a range of initiatives across the firm, including accessible and inclusive recruitment processes; clear routes for workplace adjustments; ongoing equality, diversity and inclusion training; the introduction of innovative tools to support colleagues with different working styles and needs; and the foundation of dedicated networks for disabled and neurodivergent colleagues.
As part of the accreditation process, TLT demonstrated the practical application of inclusive approaches across the employee lifecycle, supported by governance, policy development, colleague engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
Helen Hodgkinson, Chief People Officer at TLT, said: "Achieving Disability Confident Leader status reflects the progress we've made in embedding accessibility and inclusion into how we operate as a firm. This is about more than recognition. It is about how we build high-performing teams, support our people to succeed, and meet the expectations of our clients in a way that is consistent and sustainable."
Mark Routley, Partner and Disability Network Sponsor at TLT, said: "TLT's position as a Disability Confident Leader reflects the progress we've made in embedding accessible and inclusive ways of working across the firm. The behaviours that sit behind this, how we recruit, how we support colleagues, and how we respond to individual needs in a consistent and practical way, have made a tangible difference to how teams operate and have helped create a more confident, high-performing environment."
The recognition further strengthens TLT's position as a trusted adviser to organisations that are prioritising accessibility and inclusion within their own operations and reinforces the firm's commitment to creating an environment where everyone can thrive.
