This exceptional growth reflects the success of TLT’s progressive vision of driving sustainable financial development through strategic investment in people, technology, and delivering a market-leading workplace of opportunity.

Building on this positive momentum, TLT has welcomed 12 new partners and increased its overall headcount to over 1,800 colleagues. A recent report recognised TLT as the 2nd most active recruiter across the whole of the UK top 50 law firms.  This expansion has strengthened the firm‚Äôs capabilities across key sectors and services, reinforcing its reputation as a go-to strategic adviser for complex transactional and regulatory work.

One of the most notable developments this year was the announcement of the appointment of 29 lawyers - including eight partners and 21 associates - to create one of the largest future energy, infrastructure and planning practices. With over 150 specialists now in this space, TLT is firmly positioned as the leading legal adviser within the UK’s energy transition.

Alongside sector growth, TLT has scaled up its UK presence to better serve clients locally and support national and international expansion. Strategic lateral hires in London have further strengthened TLT‚Äôs key practice areas in financial services, tech, and regulation.  In the last year, TLT moved to one of the UK‚Äôs most sustainable office buildings, Eden in Salford, Manchester ‚Äì marking a decade of success in the Northwest ‚Äì and doubled its footprint in Edinburgh by moving into a new state-of-the-art office.

TLT continues to lead on sustainability securing a B score from CDP for actions taken to tackle climate change. The CDP scoring is the latest in a series of achievements for TLT‚Äôs environment strategy including  having its net-zero targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and in 2024, achieving an 88% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions six years ahead of target.
