TLT retains position among The Times Best Law Firms for eight consecutive years
TLT has been recognised as one of The Times Best Law Firms 2026, reaffirming its position as a leading UK law firm. This marks the eighth consecutive year the firm has achieved this accolade, highlighting its consistent excellence and reputation in the legal industry.
The firm has been commended in five categories, an increase of two from last year’s listing. The categories are: administrative & public law; commercial dispute resolution; energy & renewables; planning; and technology, media & telecoms. These rankings firmly consolidate TLT’s position at the forefront of the UK’s legal market and demonstrate the wide range of top tier legal services the firm can offer its clients across major industry sectors.
The Times commended several examples of the firm's work over the past year, including:
- Representing the UK government during the UK-India free trade deal;
- Advising Penrith Building Society on a funding arrangement with Imagine Mortgages designed to allow a wider range of borrowers to buy their own home;
- Advising on about 40 renewable energy projects, including Thrive Renewables’ acquisition of the 57MW Whitelaw Brae windfarm in the Scottish Borders;
This news follows another strong year for TLT in the annual legal directories Chambers and Partners UK 2025 and Legal 500 UK, which also saw the firm cement its leading position with a raft of strong rankings for both individuals and practice areas, including for those practice areas referenced in the Times listing.
