Seven TLT lawyers feature in Thomson Reuters' Stand-out Lawyers 2025 list

Thomson Reuters’ has selected seven TLT lawyers to feature in its annual Stand-out Lawyers 2025 list, recognising the firm’s position as a leading 1st tier strategic adviser creating innovative and forward-thinking opportunities and solutions to support our clients’ growth plans.

The prestigious list is compiled from feedback provided by senior in-house counsel from around the world who are asked by Thomson Reuters to nominate up to three lawyers they have worked with in the last year who have made a strong impression. 

Law firms cannot submit nominations to the list, guaranteeing that those recognised have been independently endorsed by the clients they serve.This year’s list has recognised:

  • Amanda Hulme: Partner and head of TLT‚Äôs financial regulation team. She is a leading specialist in retail financial services, consumer finance and payments.
  • Andrew Lyon: Partner and head of TLT‚Äôs financial services sector team. He is a specialist in complex financial services disputes as well as being responsible for delivery of TLT‚Äôs financial services sector strategy.
  • Dan Read: Partner in TLT‚Äôs technology and IP team. Dan specialises in technology and outsourcing within the financial services industry working with a range of banks, building societies, fintech providers and financial services organisations on strategic technology projects and compliance with outsourcing regulation.
  • Mark McQuillan: Partner in TLT‚Äôs employment team, with a focus on advising employer clients on a wide range of strategic, complex and sensitive employment law issues.
  • Matthew Forrest: Partner in TLT‚Äôs real estate practice, based in Manchester. Matthew specialises in real estate litigation, including dilapidations, lease renewal proceedings, business rates, tenant default/insolvency, service charges, break options, adverse possession, rights to light and telecommunications issues.
  • Nick Shenken: Partner in the future energy planning and environment team with an extensive history in energy real estate. He has advised on over 3GW of energy storage, wind and solar power project, including some of the UK‚Äôs largest and highest profile energy projects.
  • Simon Goss: Partner and head of the projects, infrastructure and construction team. Simon has acted for a number of leading service providers and users in the construction and engineering sector and is independently recognised as an expert in the field of construction by Chambers UK, a guide to the legal profession.
