TLT celebrates trio of partner promotions in Scotland

National law firm TLT has promoted three lawyers to partner in Glasgow. Promotions will be effective from 1 April 2026.

The newly promoted partners are: Fiona Armour and Barbara Mayne, both in Investment and Asset Management; and Katherine Doran, Projects Infrastructure and Construction. Between them, they span the Future Energy, Financial Services, Real Estate and Retail sectors.

Also among this year’s promoted cohort in Scotland are Kirsty Cameron, to Head of Legal & Client Engagement (Risk and Compliance, Business Services); and five promotions to Senior Associate - two in Real Estate in the firm’s Future Energy Planning and Environment team, two in Financial Services Disputes and Investigations and one in Banking and Restructuring.

John Paul Sheridan, Partner and Scotland Location Head said: “Our growth in Scotland has been driven by the strength of our client relationships, the calibre of our people and our commitment to delivering transformational, business-ready solutions, combined with our flexible approach to working, wellbeing and innovation.

“We encourage our people to be curious and collaborative in creating opportunity and our promoted colleagues deliver this, challenging convention and consistently exceeding expectations. These promotions recognise their critical contribution to our clients and the wider business. Warm congratulations to all our promoted colleagues this year.”

TLT has also invested in its people in Scotland in the last year with the hire of commercial real estate and investment Partner Colin Brown in Edinburgh, dual-qualified in Scotland and England and Wales Future Energy Partner Nadia Wheeler, and Managing Associate Michael McDougall and Associate Chloe Crawford in the firm’s leading licensing team. In addition, the firm recently launched a new qualification pathway for paralegals in Scotland, the ‘Pre-PEAT’ traineeship, boosting social mobility and improving access to the legal sector.

This strong growth, including increasing headcount by 50% in a year in Glasgow, to over 130 colleagues, resulted in the firm expanding its office space in Glasgow Cadworks, and doubling footprint in Edinburgh by moving into a new state-of-the-art office, New Clarendon, both in 2025.
