TLT continues support for Zeus Packaging on acquisition of the Weedon Group

National law firm TLT has advised Zeus Packaging – one of the largest packaging companies in Ireland and the UK – on its acquisition of the Weedon Group, showcasing its strengths in supporting high-growth clients with their acquisition programmes.

The Weedon Group is one of the UK’s largest independent integrated corrugated manufacturers, with over 250 staff across two UK locations in Manchester and Staffordshire.

The acquisition is a key part of Zeus Packaging’s Vertical Integration Strategy and is expected to boost annual revenue and enhance its focus on sustainable packaging introduced to reduce Scope 3 emissions.

TLT advised its long-standing client on all aspects of the acquisition and financing. The team was led by partner and head of corporate at TLT Andrew Webber, supported by senior corporate associate Nimarta Cheema, corporate associate Joanna Grover, banking managing associate Ben Kumordzie and trainee corporate solicitor Brad Walker. The deal also involved cross-practice support from the firm’s real estate; employment; tax; tech, IP and data and commercial teams.
