TLT recognised for India related work in 2026
UK national law firm TLT has been recognised by India Business Law Journal as one of the top foreign law firms for India-related matters in 2026, reinforcing the firm’s growing reputation as a trusted adviser to clients operating in the India-UK corridor.
This follows a highly competitive research process, including consultation with India-focused corporate counsel, leading Indian law firms and independent editorial analysis. It reflects the quality, consistency and impact of our work advising clients on complex cross-border matters involving India.
The recognition comes at a particularly timely moment as the UK-India Free Trade Agreement has now come into effect. TLT has played a role in this landmark agreement, with the firm's international trade team advising the UK Government throughout the negotiations and on the finalisation of the treaty text.
TLT's India practice is led by Peter Carney, Head of TLT’s India Group, with Mumuksha Singh playing a key role alongside a wider network of specialists across the firm. Together, they bring deep market knowledge and strong relationships across the India-UK corridor, enabling TLT to deliver commercially focused, relationship-led advice to clients navigating increasingly complex international transactions.
Commenting on the recognition, Pete Carney said: “We are pleased to receive this recognition from India Business Law Journal. India remains an incredibly important market for TLT and for many of our clients. This acknowledgement reflects the strength of the relationships we have built over many years and the commitment of colleagues across the firm to supporting clients on complex and often business-critical matters. We look forward to continuing to strengthen those relationships and helping clients navigate opportunities between India and the UK.”
India remains a key priority within TLT’s international strategy, reflecting increasing levels of investment, trade and regulatory engagement between India and the UK. TLT continues to invest in this market through its specialist sector expertise, long-standing relationships and flexible international offering, supporting clients both in and out of India.
